White Bread

This is a soft bread that is super tasty with peanut butter and jam or Nutella.   1/3 cup powdered milk *see note 1 1/2 heaping Tbsp of instant yeast 3 tsp salt 1/3 cup sugar 3 Tbsp shortening 3 cups warm water Flour (approx. 7 1/2 cups total) Mix powdered milk, yeast, salt, sugar, and shortening in Bosch mixer. Add warm water. Add about 4 to 5 cups flour and beat until well mixed. Add flour slowly until dough comes away clean from the edge of the mixing bowl. Knead in the Bosch for 5 more minutes.  Let dough rest for 5 minutes.  Then divide into 3 parts.  Roll dough out and then form each into a log, tucking and pinching the dough underneath to make it smooth on top. Place dough into  three greased loaf pans and let rise until the size of a bread loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.  Makes 3 loaves.

Stuffed French Toast with Fresh Strawberry Sauce

This French toast is almost like eating a dessert for breakfast! When you put the cream cheese and strawberry sauce on this French toast, it's a special treat!   French Toast Lightly Blend: 4 eggs 1 cup milk 1 Tbsp. sugar dash of salt Pour in shallow dish.  Dip bread in egg mixture.  Cook on griddle until lightly browned and egg is cooked.  Turn over to cook other side.   Cream Cheese Filling 8 oz cream cheese 3-4 Tbsp powdered sugar Microwave cream cheese just until soft enough to stir easily with a spoon. Stir in powdered sugar until it is sweet to your liking.  Spread a layer of cream cheese mixture on one slice of french toast and top it with another piece of french toast. Serve warm with fresh strawberry sauce (or a jam of your choice).   Fresh Strawberry Sauce 1 lb fresh strawberries 3-6 Tbsp sugar (depends on how sweet your strawberries are) 2 tsp lemon juice Wash and chop strawberries.  Add to a saucepan with sugar.  Gently mash the strawberries with the sugar and lemon jui

Soft Pretzels

Enjoy these pretzels one delicious bite at a time.  Serve with nacho cheese.  These pretzels are a light, puffy bread sprinkled with salt.  It's the perfect salty snack!  1 Tbsp yeast 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F) 1 cup bread flour 2-3 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups warm water (110 degrees F) 2 Tbsp baking soda In your Bosch, dissolve yeast and brown sugar 1 1/2 cups of warm water.  Let sit for 2 minutes.  Add bread flour and salt, stirring the Bosch constantly.  Slowly add in all-purpose flour until dough is forming a nice ball of dough.  Knead the dough with the Bosch for 5 minutes.  Allow it to rest for 5 minutes.  Divide dough into 8 pieces.  Roll the dough into long strips about 1/2 inch thick and 18 inches long. Cut dough into bite-sized pieces.   Mix 2 Tbsp of baking soda in 2 cups of warm water.  Dip dough pieces in the baking soda water.  Remove the dough pieces and place on a baking sheet covered with a silicone baking mat.  Leave a li

Waffles

 These waffles are so puffy that when you cut them it's like cutting a marshmallow with a golden crust. It's the perfect breakfast for a birthday or really any special day.  We like to use a Lego or dinosaur waffle iron for added fun!  3 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup cornstarch 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. salt 6 tsp. sugar 2 cup milk 1 cup Greek Yogurt 1 cup Greek Yogurt 1 1/3 cup vegetable oil 4 large egg, lightly beaten 3 tsp. vanilla extract   In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.  Whisk together to blend.   In another mixing bowl, beat together the whole milk, whey, greek yogurt, oil, egg, and vanilla.  Add the dry ingredients to the bowl with the wet ingredients and whisk just until incorporated and few lumps remain.   Preheat a waffle iron.  Fill waffle irons and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.  Cook until crisp and golden.  Serve immediately. *We like to serve our waffles

Dutch Oven Raspberry Triple Chocolate Cobbler

This has a rich, chocolate taste with a nice raspberry flavor. Eat it warm with vanilla ice cream.  This is a great recipe to cook in the evening to enjoy after dinner.   Ingredients:       1 Triple Chocolate Cake Mix       1 cube of butter (1/2 cup)      1-2  cups Root Beer or Sprite (I used Mug Root Beer)      2 cans of Raspberry Pie Filling (21 oz each) Additional Tools and Supplies:       Dutch Oven      Dutch Oven Liner      30 Briquettes  Directions:  Heat your charcoals.  Put your liner in your Dutch oven.  Cut butter into 8 even pieces (1 Tbsp each). Place four pieces of butter in the bottom oven the pan, spread out. Open a can of raspberry pie filling and spoon filling into the pan on top of the butter.  Make sure to scrape all of it out, then do the same thing to the other can.  Dump the cake mix on the raspberry pie filling. Spread the cake mix evenly across the pie filling. Then put the other four pieces of butter on the cake mix and spread them out like last time. Pour one

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sweet chocolate chip cookies with a crust on the outside, complete with a gooey middle. Talk about yummy for my tummy! 1/2 cup shortening  1/2 cup butter  2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour  1 cup packed brown sugar  1 small box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding  1/2 cup sugar  2 eggs  1 tsp. vanilla  1/2 tsp. baking soda  1 1/2 to 2 cups chocolate chips  Preheat oven to 375. Cream together the shortening, butter, and sugars.  Mix in remaining ingredients to form dough. Add chocolate chops.    Bake 375 for 8 to 9 minutes.
