Dutch Oven Raspberry Triple Chocolate Cobbler

This has a rich, chocolate taste with a nice raspberry flavor. Eat it warm with vanilla ice cream.  This is a great recipe to cook in the evening to enjoy after dinner.

Ingredients:

    1 Triple Chocolate Cake Mix

1 cube of butter (1/2 cup)

1-2  cups Root Beer or Sprite (I used Mug Root Beer)

2 cans of Raspberry Pie Filling (21 oz each)

Additional Tools and Supplies:

    Dutch Oven

    Dutch Oven Liner

    30 Briquettes

Directions:

Heat your charcoals.  Put your liner in your Dutch oven.  Cut butter into 8 even pieces (1 Tbsp each). Place four pieces of butter in the bottom oven the pan, spread out. Open a can of raspberry pie filling and spoon filling into the pan on top of the butter.  Make sure to scrape all of it out, then do the same thing to the other can.

Dump the cake mix on the raspberry pie filling. Spread the cake mix evenly across the pie filling. Then put the other four pieces of butter on the cake mix and spread them out like last time. Pour one to two cups of root beer on top. The cake should have a thin of layer of soda over it.  Put your dutch oven lid on.  Place half of your briquettes on the top and half of the briquettes on the bottom.  Let it cook for about 45 minutes.  Rotate the lid and pot every 15 minutes for even cooking.

Serve cobbler warm with vanilla ice cream.
